SONY DSR-50P DIGITAL VIDEOCASSETTE RECORDER

The DSR-50P is a new DVCAM portable recorder built for a wide range of applications that include ENG/EFP production, event/wedding recording, evidence gathering, corporate communications, etc.

BENEFITS:

You can record and play back DV format (SP mode only) as well as DVCAM.
It is capable to record long-duration by recording DV format. It is 1.5 times longer than DVCAM.

LCD monitor lets you check as you go.
You can use the high resolution LCD colour monitor to view the image as it records, or to check the playback picture on the location. It also makes setting menus and audio recording levels easier.

26-pin camera connector.
Superb picture quality cameras such as DXC-637 or DMX-M7 can be revived having digital recording.

PAL and NTSC playback.
It is useful to check the content of the tapes.

i.LINK Interface
You can use this unit as an upload/download VTR for non-linear editing system.

Long hours recording
The power consumption is low (18w), so that it can record for 6 hours continuously by using BP-L90A.

The unit weighs only 3.9kg (5.2kg with BP-L90A), so you can carry this unit easily. You can also use it standing up with connectors, all alligned on the side.

Built in LCD for monitoring, menu setting, and audio level monitoring.
The DSR-50P has a 2.5 type built in LCD monitor, which is useful for monitoring the recorded picture, setting audio recording levels, or using it for menu settings.

4 channel seperate audio.
The unit has four channels simultaneously recording. There are four XLR connectors for audio IN. The audio input level can be adjusted one by one, using the dials in the front.

26 pin camera connector.
The DSR-50P is equipped with a 26-pin camera connector. DC out and camera return functions are available, and it accepts component video input as well as composite video input.

Timecode IN/OUT.
For recording DVCAM mode, Timecode IN/OUT is equipped with DSR-50P so as to synchronise with other equipment. Timecode can be preset, reset, be generated, or taken from an external source.

PAL and NTSC playback.
The DSR-50P can playback NTSC tapes. It is useful to check the components of the tapes on the LCD monitor, or output from monitor connector (VIDEO 1).

i.LINK (6 pin).
DSR-50P is equipped with DV IN/OUT (i.LINK). It allows digital dubbing with virtually no quality loss.

DC 14.4V BP-L Series Batteries (Li-ion) and STAMINA.
The battery system employs DC 14.4V, for lithium-ion batteries. The power consumption is low so that it can run for long hours (BP-L90A : 6 hours recording continuously).

DVCAM/DV recording.
You can record DV format for emergency use.
