SONY DSR-70P DIGITAL VIDEOCASSETTE RECORDER

The DSR-70P is a portable component digital editing recorder based on the DVCAM format with its superb picture/audio quality and multi-generation performance. It's at home in a variety of editing environments from the field to the studio. The DSR-70P's all-in-one design features built-in video and audio monitoring and can be hooked up to a second unit or another VTR to form an editing pair.

DVCAM Format
8-bit component digital recording with 4:2:0 sub-sampling producing superb picture quality with excellent multi-generation capability.

High Quality Audio
4 or 2 channel PCM digital recording of stereo sound. Choice of either 32kHz 4-chan/12-bit or 48 kHz 2-chan/16-bit audio.

Compact Design
All-in-one package includes a 6.4-inch LCD monitor, audio speaker, Jog/Shuttle dial and edit function keys.

Multi-Application
Use as a field recorder, player or editing VTR or as a feeder to the Betacam SX DNW-A25P portable VTR.

Two Deck Editor
Dock two DSR-70Ps together to form a frame accurate cuts only editing system. Choose from a range of optional digital interfaces.

Digital I/O
Choose i.LINK DV I/O option for direct video/audio transfer to DV and entry level DVCAM equipment, or SDTI (QSDI) for DVCAM studio VTRs.

Two-Camera Recording
Optional Dual Video Input Board (DSBK-180P) converts the DSR-70P into a 2-camera switcher/recorder.

ClipLink Support
Access ClipLink marked tapes (recorded with DSR-130P/300P camcorders) on the DSR-70P's LCD screen for editing or review of takes.

Consumer DV Playback
The DSR-70P offers true compatibility with consumer DV replaying standard and mini cassettes without the need for an adaptor.

Versatile Interfaces
Choose from digital and analogue I/O options to suit production needs. 9-pin remote control from Sony VTR and edit controllers.

AC/DC Powering
Battery operation from BP-L60/90 Lithium-ion batteries or mains power operation from a choice of Sony AC adaptors.

Long Record Times
Accepts both mini and standard cassettes. Allows a recording time of up to 184 minutes with a standard cassette.

Fast Searching
High speed picture search delivers a recognisable picture over a range of up to ±32 times normal speed.
