Some main info regarding faulty pixels in the CCD-block of your camera:
- Every CCD-block has faulty pixels: it is almost impossible to manufacture one without faulty pixels.
- Most of the faulty pixels show up as white dots in a black background.
- Defective pixels do increase in brightness, as the camcorder gets warmer.
- Selecting a higher gain will increase the brightness of the pixels as well.
- The brightness of a faulty pixel might fluctuate over time.
Normally the automatic pixel concealment function (APR) of the camera is able to compensate for the defective pixels. But as pixel problems progress with the age and use of the camera, there are getting more defective pixels in the CCD-block. Because of the increasing amount of defective pixels this function runs into its limits. One of the things this function is limited in is the amount of pixels it can compensate for.
After compensating the maximum amount of defective pixels it just stops compensating for new ones.
OUR SOLUTION
Our solution is transferring the pixel faults to a static memory that is built in the camera from factory. The advantage of this is that the APR gets emptied and is able to resume its function again.
THE ADVANTAGES
- We give a one (1) year warranty on the repairs that we have done: that means that when new pixel problems occur and the APR is not capable of repairing it we will use our method to repair it again.
- As we repair your CCD block in your camera, the look of the camera remains unchanged.
- If we are not able to repair your CCD-block, we will not charge you: this method allows to repair 97% of the cameras. The remaining 3% have mainly damage caused by lasers.
- Flat rate independent of the type of camera.
