GY-HM180 is a compact, full-featured 4K Ultra HD camcorder with 3G-SDI output. It has professional audio connectivity and is capable of shooting in 4:2:2 Full HD at 50 Mbps. It can also output 4K live signals via HDMI. The GY-HM180's built-in 12x optical zoom lens and 4K CMOS sensor enable razor-sharp 4K Ultra HD recordings directly to SDHC/SDXC memory cards, plus its small size allows it to shoot in places that might not be suitable for larger cameras.
This camera is designed to record stunning and realistic 4K Ultra HD (3840x2160) video. JVC's 12.4MP 4K CMOS sensor enables high sensitivity and excellent performance in a variety of lighting conditions. Details are sharp and accurate across the entire image plane.
The camera is equippedwith numerous connectors to meet the needs of the most demanding professional applications, HD-SDI (3G) and HDMI included. A secure dicital connection to external devices such as recorders or video mixers is thus ensured. Simultaneous connections via SDI and HDMI can also be made.
High-quality images result first and foremost from an optics equipped with a 12x F1.2-3.5 precision optical zoom (35mm equivalent: 29.6-355mm). When recording in HD mode, the dynamic zoom combines the optical zoom and pixel mapping of the 4K image sensor so that a 24x dynamic zoom can be achieved without loss of quality. This allows the camera to have a very wide zoom range while maintaining a compact size.
You can record at high speed* up to 120 fps (59.94 Hz) / 100 fps (50 Hz) for smooth slow motion playback (down to 1/5 in 24p mode). This function is very useful for reviewing slow motion footage and examining sports skills. This function is only available for 1920x1080 recordings.
