Two metal brackets attach to the top and bottom of the monitor with the four included 1/4"-20 screws, then the hood slips into the holes in the brackets via its four tension rods. The four-sided flexible hood stretches to cover the screen and blocks out stray reflections. With the reduced glare, the image can be viewed more accurately in harsh lighting situations.
