It's an excellent choice for 8K and 4K productions, compatible with EF and PL mounts, and designed for Super 35mm cameras. The Flex Zoom lens features a consistent maximum T-stop of 1.7 across the full zoom range. It also supports Advanced Lens Metadata Back, including Cooke /i Technology and Zeiss eXtended Data protocols for PL mount models.
8K Optical Performance
These lenses deliver outstanding color reproduction and detail, producing sharp images from center to edges, suitable for 8K HDR filming. An 11-blade aperture creates a soft and appealing bokeh and a beautiful depth-of-field falloff. The internal focusing system minimizes focus breathing and provides excellent parfocal performance. The lenses produce the rich and warm color tones characteristic of Canon's cinema lens family.

The Flex Zoom lenses are compatible with a broad range of film production standards thanks to the versatile lens-to-camera communications, including Cooke /i Technology and ZEISS eXtended Data (PL mount), as well as Canon EF mount communications. This allows you to display or record lens metadata and use camera functions like aberration correction, peripheral light correction, and focus guide work with compatible cameras.
