Canon CN-E14-35MM L SP (M) Cinema Zoom Lens - PL Mount

The Flex Zoom lens series by Rule has been meticulously designed to provide exceptional optical performance, yielding stunning and lifelike images.

They are ideal for high-resolution 8K and 4K projects. They can be used with Super 35mm cameras and are available in both EF and PL mount versions. The Flex Zoom lens maintains a consistent maximum T-stop value of 1.7 across its entire zoom range. For the PL mount models, the advanced Lens Metadata Support includes Cooke /i Technology and Zeiss eXtended Data protocols.

8K Optical Performance

These lenses offer splendid color fidelity and detail, providing sharp imagery from the center to the edges, designed for 8K HDR filming. An 11-blade aperture results in soft, beautiful bokeh and eye-catching depth-of-field transition. The lenses also have an internal focusing system that minimizes focus breathing and offers excellent parfocal performance. The warm color tones, which are a trademark of Canon's cinema lens line, are also produced by these lenses.

Canon's advanced lens technology and coatings ensure an 8K optical performance throughout the zoom range. Various types of aberrations are corrected, providing exceptional imagery from the center to all corners.

All of Canon's cinema lenses have a consistent warm color balance that renders skin tones beautifully, making them ideal for recording subject textures. The color production remains consistent when lenses are switched, which can reduce post-production work.

HDR video provides a broad tonal range that replicates the visual expression close to its natural image. The 8K-compatible chromatic aberration correction reduces color fringing, and the light-shielding design and optimized coatings diminish ghosting and flaring. The internal focus system minimizes focus breathing, providing greater stability when framing a shot.

A maximum T-stop value of T1.7 is maintained throughout the zoom range by the CN-E14-35MM T1.7 L S / SP and CN-E31.5-95MM T1.7 L S / SP lenses. These large aperture lenses allow more light to reach the sensor, and this light transmission remains consistent throughout the zoom range. They are both excellent options for high-quality productions due to their consistent light provision across the zoom range.

Advanced Lens Metadata Support

The Flex Zoom lenses are compatible with a broad range of cinema production standards thanks to the versatile lens-to-camera communication, including Cooke /i Technology, ZEISS eXtended Data (PL mount), and Canon EF mount communication. This feature will enable you to display or record lens metadata as well as utilize camera functions like aberration correction, peripheral light correction, and focus guide function with compatible cameras.

Cinema Style Operability

Both the CN-E14-35MM T1.7 L S / SP and CN-E31.5-95MM T1.7 L S / SP lenses have the same design with consistent front diameter, gear positions, and gear rotation angles. Weighing under 8 pounds and less than 10 inches in length, the lenses also include focus, zoom, and iris rings with industry-standard gears and 0.8mm pitch to accommodate many third-party follow focus accessories. The lenses feature glow-in-the-dark metric and imperial markings for easy operation in low light. The lenses are robustly constructed and deliver superior optics and features for quick and precise operation, making them ideal for professional video productions.
