14mm F2.8 ED AS IF UMC is a wide-angle manual focus lens designed for Full-Frame and APS-C cameras.
14mm F2.8 ED AS IF UMC offers outstanding optical performance and an excellent price advantage. Even when used at full aperture on F2.8, its image quality is excellent and perfectly suited for landscape photography that requires high quality images. It is perfect for both professional and amateur photographers.
14mm F2.8 ED UMC aspherical lens offers high build quality, with a built-in petal-shaped lens hood to block out any unnecessary light behind the camera. The Samyang 14mm F2.8 features a large, smooth and well-damped ribbed manual focus ring.
The optical construction consists of 14 elements in 10 lens groups with 3 high refractive index elements, 2 ED elements, an aspherical hybrid element plus an aspherical glass element. The latest generation of anti-reflective layers: UMC - Ultra Multi Coated are incorporated to minimize flare and ghosting. The lens comes with a special snap-on front lens cap, rear lens cap and soft lens case.
An aperture control motor and CPU chip are installed within 14mm F2.8 ED AS IF UMC Sony E lens to assist automatic exposure (AE) for Sony cameras The aperture can be controlled from the camera body thanks to the motor and chip. Also the appropriate focus is guided with indicator light.
