This updated, compact and lightweight broadcast camera is designed for live production and offers a variety of options for recording and broadcasting video. New features added to the Studio model include a lighter carbon fiber body, up to 25,600 ISO, 13 stops of dynamic range, a larger tally light, HDMI output with camera control, 12G-SDI input and output, talkback within SDI, two USB Type-C ports for recording and control, a standard 5-pin broadcast headphone jack, a speaker, dual built-in microphones, a 7" HDR LCD, a redesigned sunshield and 10G Ethernet.
The camera offers UHD resolutions with frame rates up to 3840 x 2160p60. It is lightweight for frequent movement, installation and disassembly, yet durable for use in the field. It features a bright 7-inch capacitive touchscreen display that allows you to control all settings directly from the screen, 1920 x 1200 resolution, high brightness HDR support for use in sunlight, and a detachable sunshade that has been redesigned to fold over the display for storage and protection. On the sides of the display are control knobs for brightness, contrast, iris, and focus peaking; F1-3 buttons can also be programmed on the side. The camera also has built-in DaVinci Resolve, so you can control the camera's color and brightness settings directly from a computer when paired with a compatible ATEM switcher.
The Studio 4K Pro also offers features you would expect to find in larger studio cameras, such as a large tally indicator with customizable numeric decals, talkback, a 5-pin broadcast headphone jack, dual XLR audio inputs with phantom power, and 12G-SDI inputs/outputs. This camera also has an HDMI output, and its new 10G Ethernet is a huge pipe to use for 4K video transmission. You can also disconnect all HDMI and SDI cables and use the 10G Ethernet to send all video and data to a converter or switcher, which can also provide PoE to the camera, so you only have one cable. The Micro Four Thirds lens mount allows a wide range of professional photographic lenses to be used and broadcast-style remote control of the lens with optional Zoom Demand and Focus Demand controllers.
Ideal during talk shows,(as you can see in the image above) TV programs, news broadcasts, sporting events, lectures, conferences and even weddings. The bright display has side handles, touchscreen and physical controls to follow the footage and work comfortably for hours. It is also very light, so you can easily change positions and do any kind of work.
