The Canon RC-V100 remote control gives camcorder users more freedom. Whether used in the studio, on location, or simply in a place that was previously inaccessible, it allows remote control, via wire, of almost all the functions of the camera.
This powerful wired remote control for Canon professional camcorders allows basic and advanced image adjustment. Connect it via the REMOTE CONTROL socket A using the standard 3.5mm - 2.5mm 5m long jack cable or via the REMOTE CONTROL socket B (using the optional 8-pin RR-10 and RR-100 cables) for faster performance, simultaneous commands and a wider range, up to 10m and 100m respectively.
Advanced commands
The RC-V100 system combines some of the benefits of an advanced remote control and a CCU (Camera Control Unit), usually unique to shooting studios. You can control almost all the adjustable functions: from focus, aperture to zoom and even specific user-controllable options such as image presets and adjustments such as knee point and tilt.
Record more and differently
Some scenes require remote management: when the camera is mounted on a tripod for overhead recordings, for example, or when footage needs quick adjustments to compensate for varying conditions. With remote access and control, these registration barriers can be overcome. Combined with the RC-V100 system, Canon professional camcorders become even more versatile tools for you to realize your creative ideas.
Intuitive layout for better control
The remote's intuitive layout makes it easy to adjust key functions and image parameters even if you're not familiar with the tool you're using. The system has been specifically designed to be simple to use, with key functions grouped together in three main sections. Common image parameters can be controlled with dials making remote adjustment really easy. In addition, user-customizable buttons allow for additional flexibility.
Clear and simple operation how and when you want
For easier low-light operation, the buttons are backlit with the addition of an optional beep to confirm user selection.
Firmware updates
It may be necessary to update the firmware of the camera for compatibility with the RC-V100 system. If the RC-V100 REMOTE CONTROL B terminal has not yet been enabled, this is possible via a service update using the USB port of the device.
